1) The “San Carlo” theatre was built in 1737 by Carlo III di Borbone; It’s one of the most famous lyric theatre in the world and you can visit it and reserve the ticket for a show on web at site www.teatrosancarlo.it It’s located next to Galleria Umberto I.

3) “Galleria Umberto I” was built in 1887, designed by Emanuele Rocco; inside the gallery you can visit important boutique and Neapolitan confectioneries.

5) “Castel dell’Ovo” and “Borgo Marinari” are located in the middle of the gulf and they’re connected at dryland by an isthmus.

7) Capodimonte’s royal palace with the museum and the urban park is located at Nord-East in the city and you can reach it in about 15 minutes from the center of the city by taxi or bus. Visit www.musis.it for infos.

CAPRI1, ISCHIA2 E PROCIDA3
You can easily reach the gulf islands by fast hydrofoils from the tourist port of Naples (Molo Beverello) located near “Castello del Maschio Angioino”.
Many daily tips allow you to visit an island in few time.

Archeological excavations of Pompei4 and Ercolano5
The excavations of Pompei and Ercolano are easily reachable by a local train “Circumvesuviana” that start from a station in “Porta Nolana” next to central train station in Garibaldi square. In some periods, the visits are allowed also in night time in some periods and you can watch a typical show of archeological excavations.

POZZUOLI
By second line of subway, you can reach the amphitheatre and Solfatara Volcano.
AMPHITHEATRE6
It’s the most important monument of the Roman’s Puteoli, and was built during the Reign of Vespasiano in the I sec. of Empire.
SOLFATARA VOLCANO7
It’s a dormant crater. This is the most showy zone with solfataric activity: fumarole, mofete, muddy craters, minerals rising. The highest temperature is settled at 162 °C in Campi Flegrei.
CASERTA
The Caserta’s Royal Palace8 was built by Carlo III Borbone that wanted to have a Palace as important as Versailles. The Palace9 was completed in 1780 designed by Arch. Luigi Vanvitelli and it counts 1200 rooms and 1790 windows. You can reach the Palace in 40 minutes from Naples by a Train or by autobus who starts in Garibaldi Square (central station).
